If wastewater is exposed
Stop laundry, dishwashing, baths, and long showers. Keep children and animals away from sewage and wet soil. Stay out of every septic tank and keep clear of an open lid. If the building uses public sewer, say so. A blocked lateral or grinder pump needs a different response than a full septic tank.
